Roupell Street
The completion of the Roupell Street project, overseen by Andrew Paine Architecture, stands as a testament to thoughtful design and structural enhancement. A significant aspect involves the lowering of the existing cellar level across the footprint of the main property, creating additional functional space. The basement is extended to both the front and rear of the property, incorporating a rear lightwell for enhanced natural light. The project includes the demolition of the existing single and double storey rear extension at the ground floor level, followed by internal wall alterations on the cellar and ground floor levels.
A new roof construction with glazing to the side and rear extension at the ground floor level introduces modern design elements. The addition of a part single and double storey rear extension at the ground floor level further enhances spatial dynamics. A new rooflight to the existing butterfly roof adds a touch of contemporary flair. Additionally, the demolition of the existing outbuilding and the relevelling of the rear garden area contribute to the overall transformation.
Andrew Paine Architecture’s meticulous approach to design and structural refinement is evident in this comprehensive adaptation of Roupell Street.
